What’s Open, What’s Not in Hoboken Over the Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend

Here’s what’s happening municipal services-wise in Hoboken this extended Thanksgiving holiday weekend:

Due to the Thanksgiving Day holiday, municipal offices will be closed on Thursday, November 25, and Friday, November 26.

Street cleaning is suspended today, Thanksgiving Day and on Friday.  All waste collection, including recycling, will occur as regularly scheduled.

The City’s vaccine and testing clinics are closed due to the holiday and will resume on Monday, November 29.

The Hop shuttle service will be suspended today through Saturday, November 27.   It will resume its regular schedule on Monday, November 29.

Parking meters will be suspended on Thanksgiving Day.   They will, however, be in effect thereafter.

To support local businesses this holiday season and to encourage the community to shop locally, the City will be offering free parking in municipal garages B (28 2nd Street), D (215 Hudson Street), and Midtown (371 4th Sreet.) for up to four hours per day on weekends beginning on Small Business Saturday, Saturday, November 27 and continuing through Sunday, December 26.  In order to redeem the free parking for up to four hours in municipal garages B, D, and Midtown, drivers will need to show the garage attendant a receipt showing purchase of at least $20 at Hoboken shopping or dining establishments. The City is also offering discounted metered on-street parking. Drivers must use promo code “PARKHOB” in the ParkMobile app to receive 50% off parking sessions in select zones through the end of the year.
