WNY Breaks Ground on Miller Park Renovations

On Saturday, September 10th, West New York Mayor Gabriel Rodriguez, Commissioner Victor Barrera, the Board of Commissioners and Congressman Albio Sires hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for the Miller Park renovation project.  The work has closed the park for the foreseeable future.

The project is being paid for using a variety of sources, including federal COVID monies and Community Development Block Grants.  Among the work being done is transforming the playground into the town’s first, handicapped compliant area.

The basketball courts will be renovated.  New walking paths with benches and upgraded lighting will be installed.  Security cameras and landscaping are also part of the renovations.

Miller Park is located on Jackson Street, across the street from the recently renovated Miller Stadium.
