WNY Honors Those Who Made The Ultimate Sacrifice During Veterans Day Ceremony

West New York officials gathered at the monument honoring war heroes along Boulevard East at 54th Street on Saturday morning, as the town held its annual Veterans Day observance.

Joe Rovito, the Commander of the VFW Post 1923 served as the Master of Ceremonies.  West New Commissioner Adam Parkinson spoke on behalf of Mayor Albio Sires and his fellow Commissioners, with the message being we must always remember and thank those who served in the military, or who are currently serving, for preserving our freedom and democracy.

During the ceremony it was announced that a veterans benefits session dealing with services that are available to veterans will take place at Town Hall at 6 pm on Wednesday, November 15th.
