WNY Seniors Party For Halloween

Upwards of 600 West New York senior citizens celebrated Halloween a week early on Saturday at the Memorial High School Freshman Academy gymnasium courtesy of Mayor Albio Sires and the Board of Commissioners.

It was a grand old time, filled with music and dancing, a hot lunch and seniors decked out in their best Halloween costumes.

It was certainly an afternoon filled with joy.

Mayor Sires says he began this tradition for the seniors way back in 1995 during his first stint in office, prior to joining Congress.

Commissioner Victor Barrera certainly got into the spirt of the holiday, dressing up as a wolf.

All in all, it was a tremendous afternoon for everyone in attendance, including Assemblyman Larry Wainstein and Congressman Rob Menendez.
