The West New York Police Department has five new officers. The officers were sworn in by Mayor Gabriel Rodriguez on Monday. The Police Department now has a total of 120 officers.
Four of the officers will head off to the Bergen County Police Academy for training beginning on January 22, with one of the new hires being placed immediately on full duty.
The new police officers are:
- Ryan Rodriguez, a veteran
- Christian Ramos, a veteran
- Christian Roman, a veteran
- Rafferty Rodriguez
- Julissa Guzman, formerly of the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office
