WNY Throws Huge Thanksgiving Party For Senior Citizens

West New York senior citizens were treated to a Thanksgiving Party at the town’s Middle School on Saturday afternoon.

Approximately 600 seniors attended the event, which was organized by Mayor Albio Sires and the Board of Commissioners.  There was music and dancing, as well as a hot, holiday meal for everyone to enjoy.

This was the first time in three years, due to COVID, the town was able to hold the event.  During the event, several hundred turkeys were raffled off.  It made for a wonderful afternoon.

Hudson County Executive-Elect Craig Guy was on hand, as was New Jersey’s First Lady Tammy Murphy, who recently announced she would be running for the United States Senate seat next year.  The seat is currently held by Senator Bob Menendez, who has been indicted and is awaiting trial.

West New York provided transportation to Saturday’s event.
