As we all celebrate our most treasured family member, our moms, West New York treated its senior citizen population to a festive, Mother’s Day luncheon on Friday afternoon. The event was held at The Graycliff in Moonachie.
Hundreds of seniors attended the event, which featured music and dancing, a great meal and good conversation.
The luncheon was sponsored by Mayor Albio Sires and the Board of Commissioners, and while the Mayor couldn’t attend due to illness, he sent well wishes to everyone who did.
The Mayor began holding the Mother’s Day luncheon when he first served as West New York’s chief executive before heading to Congress. He is more than thrilled to continue the tradition now that he’s back in Town Hall.
