Women’s Month Is Celebrated With An Art Exhibition At Union City’s Musto Center

Union City prides itself on being a place which embraces the artistic community, and the William V. Musto Cultural Center has become the venue for artists to exhibit their work.  On Saturday night, two artists displayed their acrylic paintings as part of Women’s Month in a show entitled “Woman.”

West New York’s Ruth Alvarado, a native of Costa Rica, and Nanci Iovino of Glen Ridge both used acrylics for their works which were on display during the free, art exhibition held on 15th Street.  The Musto Cultural Center has become the go to location for artists to showcase their works.

Both Alvarado and Iovino say painting is the perfect outlet for expressing their creativity.  It gives them a rush each time they pick up a paint brush and create something on a canvass.

Mayor Brian Stack and the Board of Commissioners host many, free events at the William V. Musto Cultural Center.

For future cultural events taking place at the William V. Musto Center, just check the Union City website on a regular basis.
