12-year-old Bayonne Boy Arrested For Gun Possession

A 12-year old Bayonne boy was taken into custody by local police shortly past 6 o’clock on Monday evening.  Police responded to the vicinity of the 45th Street Light Rail Station in Bayonne after they received a report of a boy holding a handgun.

When police arrived they found three boys seated on a bench on the station’s platform. During their questioning of the juveniles they found one to be in possession of a BB gun.  The youngster was taken into custody and is awaiting processing in Juvenile Court.
