Story Update.-

At this time, we can confirm the victim suffered 4 stab wounds and is currently in stable condition at a local hospital. The actor was charged and transported to a facility where she is being held. The weapon was recovered by Hoboken Police.

The actor was charged with:  Attempted Murder, Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purposes, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Resisting arrest (No officers injured).

The Hoboken Police Department is continuing increased patrols in the area.

A 16-year-old girl suspected of stabbing another girl in Hoboken was taken into police custody Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.

The victim — a juvenile from Hoboken — was transported to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment for multiple stab wounds following the incident near Jackson and Sixth streets at 3:43 p.m., Hoboken police Chief Ken Ferrante said.

Her immediate condition was not provided.

The suspect, who lives in Jersey City, was apprehended at 540 Marshall Drive and taken to police headquarters.

Ferrante said patrols that were already in place in the area have been increased. He asked that anyone who witnessed the incident or has video or information on the attack contact Hoboken police
