Mayor Davis has directed OEM to keep residents informed on all the latest information related to this health emergency.

Mayor Davis has informed us that three more Bayonne residents have passed away from Coronavirus-related illness. A 48-year-old female, a 63-year-old male, and an 85-year-old male are the 18″, 19th, and 20th Bayonne residents that have died due to this pandemic. Mayor Davis extends his deepest sympathies, on behalf of all of Bayonne, to the families of the deceased residents.

• The number above reflects only the Bayonne residents that are CURRENTLY COVID-19 Positive. We have approximately 90 Bayonne residents that are RECOVERED. Recovered patients no longer have to isolate or be reported.

Bayonne Medical Center Testing; The BMC will resume Drive-Up testing again tomorrow (Tues 4/14) at Veterans Stadium. BMC has opened the testing to patients of all Bayonne doctors. In order to be tested at this site, your doctor must schedule you for an appointment.

If your doctor says he/she isn’t aware of the procedure, advise your doctor to call the BMC for instructions. DO NOT SHOW UP AT THIS SITE WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT. Please do not call the City Hall hotlines/OEM for assistance with appointments, only your physician can schedule you for an appointment at this site.

Veterans Stadium will be closed to the public during the daily testing (10am-12pm). Again, only your doctor can schedule you for an appointment. If your doctor is unaware, tell him/her to call the BMC for instructions.

Recycling Update: Beginning this week, recycling will be picked up on an alternating schedule by product. This week only paper/cardboard products will be picked up on your recycling day. Next week only glass/plastic/cans will be picked up on your recycling day. This alternating schedule will continue until further notice.
