Newark Man Wanted in Connection With February Murder of Jersey City Woman

NEWARK MAN WANTED IN CONNECTION WITH FATAL SHOOTING OF JERSEY CITY WOMAN IN FEBRUARY

Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez has released the following information:

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating the whereabouts of the suspect wanted in connection with the death of 30-year-old Raven Harris, who was fatally shot at the intersection of Old Bergen Road and Neptune Avenue in Jersey City on February 10, 2021.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Jimmy B. Colclough, age 30, of Newark, charging him with Murder in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:11-3a(1), a first-degree crime; two counts of Attempted Murder in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:5-1a(1) and 2C:11-3a(1), a first-degree crime; two counts of Unlawful Possession of a Weapon (Handgun) in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(1), a second-degree crime; and Possession of a Weapon (Handgun) for an Unlawful Purpose in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:4a(1), a second-degree crime.

On Wednesday, February 10, 2021, just before 10:00 p.m., members of the Jersey City Police Department responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Old Bergen Road and Neptune Avenue. Responding officers found three shooting victims, a 30-year-old Jersey City woman, later

identified as Raven Harris, as well as two male victims, 28- and 29-years-old. The three victims were transported by Emergency Medical Services to Jersey City Medical Center. Harris was pronounced dead at approximately 10:30 p.m. The Northern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office determined the cause of death to be Multiple Gunshot Wounds and the manner of death to be Homicide. The two male victims were treated for their injuries and released.

Anyone who sees Jimmy Colclough should not approach him, but should immediately contact the police.

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit continues to actively investigate this case with assistance from the Jersey City Police Department.
