Hoboken Police Detective Lieutenant Danilo Cabrera reports that 27-year old, Bronx resident Erick Henderson was arrested by Hoboken Police at 9:30 pm on Thursday, Thanksgiving night, November 25th at 1 Hudson Place on robbery and other charges.

According to Cabrera, police arrested Henderson after Police Officer Nicholas Protopapadakis and Police Officer Jessica Arebalo responded to the CVS at 59 Washington Street on a report of shoplifting.  As officers responded, it was learned that the alleged actor was no longer on scene and a description was broadcast.  Upon arrival, it was reported to Officer Protopapadakis that the alleged actor brandished a knife as an employee tried to stop him from shoplifting.

Police Officer Enrico Gnassi began to canvas the surrounding area and found a male matching the description walking down into the Path Station. Officer Gnassi along with Police Officer James Barbro ordered the male to stop, but the male continued to walk away and they lost sight of him when he turned the corner.

As Officers Gnassi and Barbro approached and turned the corner, they located a bag with proceeds from the robbery.  They continued their search for the suspect and located him outside, by the Lackawana Train Station track number 1.  The suspect was placed under arrest and was identified as Erick Henderson.

Additional proceeds of the robbery were found on him, but not the knife. Henderson was transported to police headquarters for processing, where it was learned that he was wanted out of New York for Robbery.  Henderson was charged with Robbery, Obstruction Administration of Law, and being a Fugitive from Justice. While processing Henderson, he refused to be fingerprinted and photographed and as a result he was additionally charged with Refusal to Submit to Fingerprinting. All of Henderson’s charges were placed on warrants and he was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility in Kearny.

Henderson is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
