Photo Credits: facebook.com We may be getting a dusting of snow on this Super Bowl Sunday, but warmer weather, as we experienced the past few days, is on the horizon. Warmer temperatures mean baseball, although it may not mean so for a while at the Major League level with a lockout still in place, it will be here before you know it in Bayonne.
Little League tryouts will take place over two days next weekend.
Here are the details provided by the Little League:
Tryouts will be in the multi purpose room at Robinson School on 31st Street. You must be registered to attend!!!. If you did not register prior to the closing date you can go to our online registration site and sign your child up for our Waitlist. We will try to place the children from the waitlist as roster spots become available
Tryouts will be a 2 day event. The dates are 2/19 and 2/20 and the times are 9a-3p. The time slots for each age group are:
Saturday 2/19
9am to 10:30am
All Softball girls new to the majors and senior league divisions. Not required for instructional or coach pitch
10:30-1pm
All intermediate (50/70) and senior league players ages 11-14. Only for players who are new to the league or new to one of these divisions.
Sunday 2/20
This day is for all players ages 7-10. We are asking all players in these age groups to attend due to the high number of new players and the league adding teams
9am to 10:30 – league age 7
10:30a-noon – League age 8
Noon- 1:30p – League age 9
1:30p-3p. – League age 10
