Craig Guy Celebrates International Women’s Day, Pledges to Empower Women and Minority Leadership in Hudson County Government

Craig Guy, the Hudson County Executive candidate, is recognizing the pivotal role that women play in Hudson County government and celebrating International Women’s Day by reinforcing his commitment to appointing more women and minority leaders in his administration. Guy believes that appointing women to leadership positions at all levels of government is integral to his mission of protecting the rights of women in Hudson County, including their right to choose.

Under the current County Executive Tom DeGise, women hold half of the cabinet leadership positions, with many of them being women of color. DeGise stated that Craig Guy has worked alongside him for two decades to build an administration that not only responds to the needs of the people but looks like them as well.

“I am so proud that under County Executive DeGise we have made it a priority to appoint women as leaders throughout the government, and I will continue to make sure that my administration is a reflection of the people that we serve,” said Craig Guy.

Craig Guy is a proud Democrat who is committed to progressive values, including protecting abortion rights and voting rights, defending democracy, enacting tougher gun control laws, and more. He believes in elevating diverse voices and making sure that his administration represents everyone in Hudson County.

As County Executive, Craig Guy plans to empower women and minority leadership, build more affordable housing, improve traffic safety with a Vision Zero initiative, and create new state-of-the-art STEM and trades-focused high schools.
