Hoboken Activates Splash Pads to Combat High Temperatures

HOBOKEN, NJ – With temperatures expected to reach up to 90 degrees today, the City of Hoboken has activated some of its splash pads for public use. These splash pads will remain on until 6 p.m. tonight, offering residents and visitors a refreshing way to cool off from the summer heat.

The following parks have splash pads currently active and available for use:

• Stevens Park
• Elysian Park
• Jackson Street Park
• Madison Street Park

The City of Hoboken reminds everyone to stay hydrated and take breaks from the heat when necessary. In addition to the splash pads, the City encourages the use of public pools and cooling centers throughout the community.

The activation of the splash pads is just one of the ways that the City of Hoboken is working to keep its residents and visitors safe and comfortable during the summer months.

So, come on down to Stevens Park, Elysian Park, Jackson Street Park, or Madison Street Park and take advantage of the cool water. Beat the heat and enjoy the day!
