A special tribute took place on Saturday in North Bergen.
On Saturday at the VFW Edward McDowell Post 2648 in North Bergen, military moms were celebrated and honored for their service and dedication not only to their country, but to their families as well.
The Post wanted to say thank you to these incredible women, so they honored them with lunch, a beauty demonstration, and a talk by psychotherapist Dr. Sugi, spoke of the importance of gratitude; gratitude by family members to these military moms. It was a day to reflect on everything mothers go through when deployed; everything they leave behind, husbands and children, when answering the call to duty.
So on this Memorial Day weekend, find the time to appreciate, not only a military mom, but any veteran for the service and commitment they have given to our country.
