Hoboken, NJ – Mayor Ravi S. Bhalla and the City of Hoboken have extended an invitation to residents for a community meeting on Wednesday, October 25, at 6 p.m. The meeting will take place at the Multi-Service Center Senior Room, located at 124 Grand St.

The purpose of the meeting is to present the final draft concept design for Maritime Park, a waterfront park slated to be constructed at the former Union Dry Dock site along the Hudson River, just south of Maxwell Waterfront Park.

Project consultants Dattner Architects and SCAPE have developed the final concept design based on public input collected through previous community and stakeholder meetings, as well as survey responses.

Following the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in topic-focused discussions with the project team. Their input on the final concept design will then be presented to the Hoboken Planning Board and the City Council for approval in November.

“Through your informative feedback, we have created a multifaceted concept that will provide community gathering space, outdoor recreation opportunities, and restorative ecological spaces that will serve the residents and visitors of Hoboken for decades to come. I encourage residents to join us on Wednesday, Oct. 25, to learn more about their future park,” said Mayor Bhalla.

For more information on the project, residents can visit hobokennj.gov/maritimepark.
