After weeks of bad weekend weather, Saturday could not have been more beautiful.  What a perfect day for Halloween festivities at Weehawken’s Waterfront Park, as hundreds of township children marched in costumes and received more candy than they could eat.

Dressed in all sorts of costumes for the Halloween season, township children marched around the track with huge smiles on their faces.  With temperatures around 80 degrees, you would not have known it was almost November 1st.  From the family decked out as the famous 1960s TV show, The Addams Family, to dinosaurs and many more creative getups, everyone had a fabulous time.
Children also got to pick a pumpkin to bring home from the pumpkin patch, and run through an inflatable corn maze, which was more difficult to navigate than it appeared from the outside.

Township employees had vehicle trunks decked out in creative Halloween flare, handing out candy to the children.
And who ever would have thought that Mayor Richard Turner would be seen in dreadlocks?!!!!  Not this reporter, for sure.
The Weehawken Council and Mayor Turner want to wish everyone a safe and Happy Halloween!!
