Seniors at West New York’s Housing Authority buildings are being treated this Valentine’s holiday with a special party courtesy of the Department of Parks and Public Property, which oversees senior affairs.
Throughout the week, in each of the community rooms in the 17 senior buildings in town, Valentine’s Day parties are being held courtesy of Mayor Albio Sires and Commissioner Victor Barrera, whose Department oversees senior affairs.
In addition to music, holiday cupcakes, soda, flan and cookies and other treats were enjoyed by all.
Commissioner Barrera says the Mayor and Commissioners encourage the seniors to utilize the community rooms in the senior buildings, where regular activities are held on a weekly basis. Bingo, exercise classes and much more.
