North Bergen Urologist Employed Previously at New York-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center Found Guilty of Sexually Abusing Male Patients

55-year old urologist, Dr. Darius A. Paduch of North Bergen, employed by New York-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center, was found guilty on Wednesday of sexually abusing male patients, including four minors.

Dr. Paduch was initially arrested  a year ago, in April 2023, but he was found guilty during a Manhattan trial on Wednesday.  According to U.S. Attorney Damian Williams of the Southern District of New York, a jury unanimously found Paduch guilty on 11 federal sex abuse charges.

The federal prosecutors’ case began with two victims both under the age of 18.  Prosecutors outlined a series of sexual abuses, with more than 200 men coming forward  alleging that Dr. Paduch molested them while under his care.

Attorney Williams stated, “As a unanimous jury has just found, Darius A. Paduch leveraged his position of trust as a medical doctor for his own perverse gratification.  For years, patients seeking needed medical care, many of them children, left his office as victims.  I commend the career prosecutors of this Office for bringing this important case to a just conclusion.”

The alleged sexual abuses against the underage victims and men took place between 2008 and 2019.  Williams stated the doctor also offered his teenage victims high school internships while he was employed at New York-Presbyterian.
