The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the West New York Police Department are investigating a sexual assault that took place on Saturday, July 27, 2024.
According to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, a 40-year-old female victim reported that she encountered an unknown male sometime around 1:30 a.m. The incident reportedly happened in the area of Hudson Avenue and 51st Street. The woman told law enforcement that the man grabbed her by her hair and then sexually assaulted her.
As of Monday afternoon, no arrests have been made and the matter is actively being investigated by the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the West New York Police Department.
