The City of Hoboken is advising motorists that the Park Avenue Bridge connecting to J.F. Kennedy Boulevard East in Weehawken will be closed to traffic for portions of tomorrow and Monday.
Hudson County will close the bridge for their ongoing paving project tomorrow, Friday, August 2nd, from approximately 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Monday, August 5th, from approximately 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The closure of the bridge, and other sections of Park Avenue in the area, will likely cause congestion coming into and out of Hoboken on the northern end of the city. Motorists should leave additional travel time to enter and exit Hoboken near the Lincoln Tunnel.
In addition, the North Hudson Sewerage Authority test pitting will also continue on Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Observer Highway will be closed at Henderson Street during working hours.
Hoboken Police will be at both sites to assist with detours, traffic control, and pedestrian safety. Drivers should consider alternate routes to and from Hoboken on Friday and Monday.
