The West New York school system held a districtwide, STEAM Fair at the Middle School on Wednesday night. The fair highlighted science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics projects by students in grades one through twelve.
Parents were able to view all of the work that students have ben studying throughout the course of the academic year, from concept to prototype.

There were projects ranging from robotics, to agriculture, to 3D printing to DNA research. There was a student constructed food trailer, operating on solar power, parked outside of the school. The plan is to use the trailer at certain school events, such as football games, to preserve food.

Superintendent of Schools, Clara Brito Herrera, says the District’s STEAM philosophy encompasses critical thinking, communication, creativity and collaboration.

Wednesday night’s STEAM Fair was attended by many parents.
