West New York Public Affairs Commissioner Marielka Diaz, recently named the Vice Chairperson of the Hudson County Democratic Organization, has moved through the political ranks since coming to the United States from her native Dominican Republic.
A former Board of Education Trustee and Library Board member who owns her own business, Diaz will be heading to Chicago in a few weeks as a New Jersey delegate to the Democratic National Convention.
She spoke with Hudson TV reporter Jeff Henig in anticipation of the DNC.
The Democratic National Convention takes places from August 19th through the 22nd.
