Hud Haus, the first cannabis dispensary in the Township of North Bergen, opened a month ago on Old River Road near the border of Edgewater. The business adheres to strict state guidelines.
Owned by native North Bergen resident Pharoah Lozano, Hud Haus employs 35 and looks to educate its clientele into the many different forms of cannabis.
Once customers go through the security entry process, budtenders assist them with any questions they might have concerning the variety of cannabis products on sale. At no point during the process do customers ever handle the product until a purchase has been completed.
Under New Jersey state statute, it is illegal for anyone to sample, consume, or rob cannabis onto their skin on Hud Haus property. There are numerous security cameras, both inside and in the parking lot, to make sure this policy is strictly followed.
2% of the gross sales revenue goes directly back to the municipality of North Bergen.
Hud Haus is open seven days a week. You must be 21 years of age to enter the facility.
