With just under 86 percent of the districts reporting in the 32nd District Assembly Primary, independent, Democratic running mates Katie Brennan and Hoboken Mayor Ravi Bhalla declared victory last night.
According to the Hudson County Clerk’s Office, Brennan and Bhalla were just ahead of incumbent Assemblywoman Jessica Ramirez and several other candidates, including Jersey City Councilman Yousef Saleh.
Brennan had 19.39 percent, Bhalla 18.81 percent and Ramirez 18.32 percent.
The remaining tallies were 14,82 percent for Jennie Pu, her running mate Crystal Fonseca 14.05 percent and Councilman Saleh 14.38 percent.
The Hudson County Democratic Organization supported Pu and Fonseca.
