JERSEY CITY — Security camera video sent to Hudson TV by a reader shows a person picking up a package from the front steps of a home on Randolph Avenue and walking away.
Updated Oct. 16, 2026, 10 p.m. ET, with a response from UPS.
The 17-second clip, labeled “Front Door 2,” carries a camera timestamp of Oct. 15, 2026, from about 1:18 to 1:19 p.m. In it, a person walks up the sidewalk, bends over at the stoop, picks up a package and walks off in the direction of the camera. Hudson TV has not independently confirmed the camera’s clock.

The reader, who identified herself as Sasha, said the home belongs to her brother and that the package was taken shortly after UPS delivered it. She said the family has filed a police report, that packages have been taken from the home repeatedly, and that UPS has not resolved the delivery problem. The video does not show the delivery itself.
Hudson TV has asked the family for the police report number and more details about earlier incidents and their contact with UPS.
In an email to Hudson TV on Oct. 16, UPS Public Relations said the company would be happy to look into the case but needs the UPS tracking number for the package shown in the video to identify the delivery, as well as tracking numbers for other shipments if the family has experienced this more than once.
“Customers concerned about package theft can use UPS My Choice to receive delivery alerts, provide instructions about where packages should be left or redirect eligible shipments to a UPS Access Point. Signature-required delivery is another option for important packages. Customers who believe a package was stolen after delivery should also contact local authorities and the retailer, along with contacting us so we can review the shipment,” UPS said.
