According to the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office, the State Attorney General’s Office has taken over the investigation of an officer-involved shooting which happened this morning in Bayonne. The incident, according to a tweet from the Prosecutor’s Office, took place shortly before 7 o’clock on West 1st Street.
One man, reportedly in his 40s, was taken to the Bayonne Medical Center after being shot by a Bayonne police Officer. The victim. reportedly had a knife in his possession. The victim died from his gunshot wounds.
