Comienza toda la instrucción remota para los estudiantes de Guttenberg

Guttenberg Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Michelle Rosenberg, announced in a letter to parents on Thursday, that the District will instruct students remotely until at least mid-January.  The announcement comes following the Board of Education’s vote the previous night, on the Superintendent’s recommendation.

Rosenberg’s letter states, in part, “This decision was not made lightly and many facgors were considered in order to come to this decision….We will continue to provide your child(ren) with the best possible education with the highest level of standards.  This is certainly not ideal, but we all must do our part to help stop the spread of COVID-19.  It is my hope that we can possibly return to school on January 19, 2021.”

The Superintendent goes on to say that the Board of Education will hold its regularly scheduled meeting on December 9th.  At that time, “we will discuss and reevaluate the current situation.”

Staff and teachers will be in the Anna L. Klein School during the period of remote learning  between the hours of 8 am and 3 pm, Monday through Friday.

Guttenberg students at the Anna L. Klein School, the district’s only school building, had been under a hybrid learning schedule since November 9.
