New Jersey property owners and renters can apply for the ANCHOR Tax Relief Program if they meet certain income guidelines and maintained a property as their main residence in New Jersey in October, 2019.
New Jersey Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin and Assemblywoman Angelica Jimenez described the ANCHOR program, its benefits and qualifications, to residents at the Guttenberg Resource Center on Wednesday morning. The program replaces the New Jersey Homestead Rebate, and can provide qualifying individuals with as much as $1,500.
It is estimated that more than 2 million New Jersey homeowners and renters will qualify for the ANCHOR Tax Relief Program.
The application deadline is December 30, 2022. You should have received an ANCHOR mailing describing the steps you need to take in order to apply for the benefit.
