Bayonne Police Captain Eric Amato reports that an armed robbery took place at the Game Stop, located at 205 LeFante Way, on Thursday night.
The Captain says, “In response to inquiries received regarding this incident, I can confirm that an armed robbery was reported at Game Stop located at 205 LeFante Way at 2012 hours.(8:12 pm). The handle of a handgun was shown and fashioned in a manner that led the victim employee to believe the weapon was indeed a handgun. The actors ultimately removed over $23,000.00 worth of merchandise before fleeing.”
Amato says no injuries were reported by the victim.
The incident remains an active on ongoing investigation, therefore, no further information will be released at this time.
