As Coronavirus Numbers Continue To Rise Dramatically In NJ, Governor Reduces Size Of Permitted Gatherings

People need to start caring.  Not just about themselves, but about their neighbors and everyone around them.  Everyone needs to realize that unless we take the coronavirus seriously, the death toll will continue to rise and rise and rise. That’s why Governor Phil Murphy made the decision today to once again the reduce the number of people permitted to gather in any one place at any one time.

Some will complain, but you know what?  THE MAJORITY of people don’t care about the complaints from others.  This literally is life and death.

Today the Governor, in the continuing wake of rising COVID-19 numbers in New Jersey, announced on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that the number of people permitted at indoor gatherings is being reduced from 25 to 10 beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, November 18.  The number of people allowed at outdoor gatherings will be reduced from 500 to 150 starting on November 23.

The Executive Order will surely tick off many people, especially with Thanksgiving just around the corner.  Those in agreement with the Governor say the switch back is common sense.  The time for selfishness has long passed.

There are some exceptions to the indoor limit, and may continue under the current rules of limiting indoor capacity to 25 percent of a room’s capacity, up to 150 people.  These include:

• Religious services/celebrations
• Political events
•  Weddings
•  Funerals and memorial services
• and Performances

Indoor sports practices and competitions will be allowed to exceed the person limit, but only for necessary individuals, such as players, coaches and referees.  Spectators will not be allowed at events where more than ten people are part of the sporting event.

New Jersey recorded a record number of coronavirus cases on Sunday….4,540.

It’s time to end the selfishness New Jersey.  Be smart.  Our actions have consequences not just for ourselves, but for other people.
