TEMPORARY NO PARKING POLICY TO BE IN EFFECT ON EAST SIDE OF BROADWAY, AND IN FRONT OF SHOP RITE CITY HALL

A major snowstorm is expected in our area from Sunday, January 31, through Tuesday, February 2.

In order to prepare for snow removal, a 24-hour no parking policy will be in effect for the following areas from 8:00 p.m. Sunday night, January 31, through 8:00 p.m. Monday night, February 1: the East Side of Broadway from 5th Street to 48th Street, in front of Shop Rite from 25th Street to 26th Street on the West Side of Avenue C, and in front of City Hall from 27th Street to 28th Street on the East Side of Avenue C.

Property owners are responsible for shoveling the snow on the sidewalks in front of their properties.  If the removal of snow or ice is impractical, property owners are required to apply salt or sand to the ice or snow.

Do not throw snow into the streets.

Do not block emergency vehicles.  Please allow emergency workers to do their jobs.

Do not drive unless it is absolutely necessary.

Do not bury fire hydrants with snow.  Please keep hydrants clear.
