Bayonne Crash Leads To Arrests of Two Men For DUI and Drug Possession

Bayonne Police Captain Eric Amato reports the Saturday arrests of two males following a three car crash.  Moustafa M. Moustafa of Jewett Avenue in Jersey City and Omar Ahmed of Pavonia Avenue in Jersey City were both charged following the incident.

Moustafa and Ahmed were taken into custody at 9:57 pm from the area of 48th Street and Kennedy Blvd.  Captain Amato says officers patrolling the area observed a motor vehicle crash involving three vehicles.  Once on the scene, police made contact with all involved parties and determined that the vehicle Moustafa had been operating caused the crash. 

While investigating the crash, Moustafa exhibited signs of being under the influence of an intoxicant.  He was ultimately placed into custody for D.U.I.  As the investigation continued, a quantity of 249.5 pills of a prescription legend drug were recovered, to which the passenger in Moustafa’s vehicle, Ahmed, claimed ownership of.  He was subsequently arrested and charged accordingly.  

Moustafa was charged with Driving Under the Influence, whuile Ahmed was charged with possession of the prescription Legend Drug.
