Bayonne Farmers’ Market Back on Tuesdays, Will Start on June 1, 2021
Mayor Jimmy Davis announced that the Bayonne Farmers’ Market will return for the 2021 season, beginning on Tuesday, June 1, at 2:00 p.m. The market will take place on West 23rd Street, between Broadway and Del Monte Drive.
The Farmers’ Market will operate on Tuesdays from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. It will run on Tuesdays through November, with the exact ending date to be announced. The market will operate rain or shine, unless extremely heavy rains make it impossible to function.
Mayor Davis said, “We are happy to welcome the Bayonne Farmers’ Market back for the 2021 season. Sixteen vendors have been lined up for opening day. It is a pleasure to have a great variety of participants for the start of our new season. I urge Bayonne residents and our friends from nearby communities to support the 2021 Bayonne Farmers’ Market.”
The vendors for the start of the 2021 season are: Alstede Farms, Paolo’s Kitchen, Empanada Lady, Dr. Pickle, Buon Antipasto, Pies and Tarts, Gourmet Nuts and Dried Fruits, BraRico Pasteles, Just Delicious Kettle Corn, Grandma Emma’s, Magramere CBD Edibles, Velobar, Rudo Plant, Sicilian Club Zeppoles, Kandles by Kas, and Livin’ Green Cuisine. Other vendors may be added.
Produce vouchers issued by the State of New Jersey can be used to purchase fruits and vegetables at the Bayonne Farmers’ Market.
As was the case in previous years, the Bayonne Farmers’ Market is offering a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program. Alstede Farms is the vendor for the CSA program. CSA allows city residents to have direct access to high-quality, fresh produce grown nearby by regional farmers. When you become a member of CSA, you’re purchasing a “share” of vegetables. Customized personal, half and full shares are available and will be delivered weekly, to the Bayonne Farmers’ Market for pick-up.
