Bayonne Has 7th Positive COVID-19 Case

Bayonne Mayor Jimmy Davis issued the following statement on Sunday afternoon confirming the city’s 7th coronavirus case:

Hello everyone. I hope that everyone is doing well and obeying the directives that have been put in place by Governor Murphy.

I have been notified of Bayonne’s 7th resident that is a confirmed positive. This 26 year-old male is recovering at home, under self-isolation and the monitoring of the Health Department.

Earlier this morning, I directed OEM (Office of Emergency Management) to monitor all city social media feeds to answer all your questions. They will continue that through the day to help keep you informed.

As I told you yesterday, we will get through this crisis! Most people that get this virus will recover well, however, we want to protect the most vulnerable in our community. Stay Bayonne Strong! #BayonneStrong #WeAreBayonne
