Bayonne, NJ – The Bayonne Police Department has recently intensified its efforts against local crime, resulting in multiple arrests over the past few days, including a significant package theft and several DWI incidents.

On December 8, 2023, Juan C. Bonaci Leon, a 30-year-old resident of West 12th Street, was apprehended following an investigation into a package theft reported on November 19, 2023. The victim, residing near 11th Street and JFK Blvd., reported a parcel valued at approximately $1,000 stolen from his porch. The Bayonne Police Detective Bureau’s investigation led to the identification and subsequent arrest of Bonaci Leon, who now faces theft charges.

The following day, on December 9, Peter Nastasi, 39, from Avenue E, was arrested at 0156 hours in the area of 8th Street and Broadway for driving while intoxicated (DWI).

Continuing the crackdown, on December 10, Terence Quintyn, 65, of Sunset Avenue, was taken into custody for DWI at 0234 hours near West 34th Street.
