Bayonne Man Arrested For Attacking People With A Baseball Bat

According to Bayonne Police Captain Eric Amato, 40-year old Isaiah M. Dicks of Kennedy Boulevard in Bayonne was taken into custody last night at 7:11 from the area of 19^th Street and Kennedy Boulevard. 

Officers responded to the area on a report of a male, later identified as Dicks, striking people with a bat.  Captain Amato says, according to the two adult victims, while they were attending a BBQ in the yard of their residence, located in the area of 19^th Street and Kennedy Boulevard, Dicks and a victim began arguing. Dicks ultimately left the yard, only to return with a bat.

Dicks proceeded to strike the victim about the body and head with the baseball bat and also struck another victim in the wrist.  Officers responded to Dicks’ residence and placed him under arrest after he was positively identified as the assailant.  Both victims were transported to an area hospital to be treated for injuries they sustained.

Dicks has been charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon.
