30-year old Colton Spriggs of JFK Boulevard in Bayonne was taken into custody at 6:50 on Sunday evening from the area of 18th Street and Avenue C. Officers responded to the area on a report of a male throwing garbage cans and behaving erratically.
Upon arrival, the officers encountered Spriggs acting in a tumultuous manner while tensing his body and clenching his fists as the officers attempted to speak with him. During the investigation, Spriggs repeatedly screamed obscenities and continued is erratic behavior, causing area residents to become alarmed. After refusing to comply with the officers’ commands to cease his behavior, Spriggs was taken into custody for disorderly conduct.
During the arrest process, it was learned that Spriggs was wanted on a warrant issued out of the Bayonne Municipal Court and a warrant issued out of the Hoboken Municipal Court.
