Policía de Baiona: "No hay información creíble" para sugerir que la amenaza de TikTok a las escuelas es real

A Bayonne Police Department Facebook post last night stated that the Department is increasing police presence around the city’s school buildings following a TikTok threat which indicated there would be a social media “challenge” nationwide threatening school violence today, Friday, December 17.

The Police Department’s post said there is “no credible information” to suggest that there is a threat to any New Jersey School.  The TikTok threat did not name any specific schools nationwide where violence would take place.

Governor Phil Murphy is taking the threat seriously.  He has spoken with State Attorney General Andrew Bruck, Col. Pat Callahan of the New Jersey State Police and Laurie Doran, Acting Director of the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security regarding the threat.  The Governor tweeted, “While there are no known specific threats against New Jersey schools, the safety of our children is our highest priority and we will work closely with law enforcement to monitor the situation and remain prepared.”
