Bayonne assault and arrest

Law enforcement officials have arrested 24-year old, Bayonne resident Daouda H. Coulibaly of Bayonne for numerous drug and illegal weapons possession charges.

According to reports, on January 8, Coulibaly was in possession of a defaced, black steel slide handgun with a high capacity magazine containing 16 rounds.  He was also in possession of 97 glassine folds containing heroin, 82 glass vials with pink caps containing cocaine, plus four, clear plastic sandwich bags containing less than 50 grams of raw marijuana.

The court determined that Coulibaly intended to dispense or distribute the controlled dangerous substances within 1,000 feet of the Horace Mann Elementary School in Bayonne.

All of the above mentioned violations carry second, third or fourth degree criminal status.

Coulibaly was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility to await an appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Jersey City.
