Bayonne Superintendent of Schools Announces Virtual Learning To Continue Through At Least December 1st

Bayonne Superintendent of Schools John Niesz announced in a letter to parents today that the district will continue virtual instruction for all students through at least Tuesday, December 1st.

Saying the Bayonne School District continues to evaluate the COVID-19 pandemic, Niesz stated, “Our decision mirrors the decision by other districts to remain all-remote learning and rising coronavirus cases.  Some school districts where in-person classes have resumed have already decided to switch to all-remote learning.  All of these factors together with our continued installation of air mitigation systems were considered in the recommendation and decision.”

Superintendent Niesz added that the district will continue to evaluate the data surrounding the vurus, and will “strive to keep parents, students and staff up to date as our plans evolve.”

Bayonne parents are advised to check the Board of Education’s website and your personal email on a daily basis for up to the minute updates.
