Bayonne To Dedicate Park Tomorrow

PHOTO CREDIT:  GOOGLE MAPS                                                                                                                                                                                                                       The city has announced that the park at 28th Street and Avenue F in Bayonne is being named in honor of former City Council Members Joseph E. Makowski and Joseph L. Makowski.  The park has been renovated as part of the city’s program to improve parks and playgrounds throughout Bayonne. 

The ceremony will take place tomorrow, Thursday, May 19, at 11:00 a.m. – rain or shine. 

Joseph L. Makowski worked as a career civil servant for the New Jersey Division of Youth and Family Services.  In municipal government, he served for sixteen years on the Municipal Council as Second Ward Council Member, Council Member At-Large, and Council President.  He continued his municipal service as a Parking Authority Commissioner.  

Joseph E. Makowski served the City of Bayonne as a Zoning Board Commissioner, Second Ward Council Member, Zoning Officer, and Public Works Director.
