Coffee With A Cop Event in Bayonne Postponed, Due to Coronavirus

The Coffee With A Cop event that was scheduled in Bayonne for Wednesday, October 7, at DiDomenico-16^th Street Park, has been postponed, due to concerns about the Coronavirus.

Police Chief Robert Geisler said, “Late last week I was informed that the parent organization of Coffee With a Cop cancelled this year’s National Coffee with a Cop Day due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.  Out of an abundance of caution, the Bayonne Police Department will follow suit.  Although we had safety measures in place, I feel that the best course of action at this time is to cancel our event scheduled for Wednesday and reschedule it at a later date.  I made this decision with the health and safety of our community and the health and safety of our police officers as my priority.  I am disappointed that this event is cancelled.  This is an event that I, the members of the Bayonne Police Department and members of the community have been looking forward to.  I look forward to a time when we can all meet again without the threat of contracting COVID-19.”
