BREAKING: Newark Police Seek Public’s Help in Finding Missing 13-Year Old Girl

The Newark Police Department is seeking help from the public in locating a missing, 13-year old girl.  Lalilani Vargas was reported missing on Monday.  She was last seen at 7:40 p.m. from the 100 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard according to Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose.

She was wearing a black and yellow plaid shirt, a brown crop top, light denim jean jacket, black Nike sneakers, carrying a black, small nap sack with red lips on it.  Police say she also had a black baseball cap.

Ambrose says she may have taken public transportation and could have been heading to Queens.

If you have any information on her whereabouts, you are urged to contact the Newark Police Department’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).  Calls remain anonymous and a reward could be given to the tipster if Vargas is found.  You may also leave information through the Police Department’s website at www.newarkpd.org or its Smartphone App available on iTunes or Google Play.
