The campaign of Bayonne Mayor Jimmy Davis issued the following press release this morning:

Mailer Arrives From New Group, Apparently Illegally Unregistered with ELEC

BAYONNE, N.J. — Just days after coming under fire for her association with both a dark money PAC and a known sex criminal, Sharon Nadrowski is once again deceiving Bayonne residents with a brand new dark money Super PAC trying to boost her failing campaign. A mailer arrived at local households recently featuring Nadrowski and paid for by “Committee to Advance New Jersey.” A search of the New Jersey State Election Law Enforcement Commission database revealed that Nadrowski’s latest shady dark money organization has not been registered as a political committee or an independent expenditure committee, a potential violation of state election law. The group also appears to not be registered with the Federal Election Commission or the Internal Revenue Service.

“Sharon Nadrowski just can’t stop herself from engaging in the kinds of sleazy, dark money tactics that make people hate politics and lose faith in our government institutions,” said Davis campaign spokesman Phil Swibinski. “Once again, the Davis campaign is demanding that Nadrowski reveal who is funding her dark money campaign, because Bayonne residents deserve to know what developers or big money corporations are bankrolling the Nadrowski candidacy.”

“Committee to Advance New Jersey” is located at 1001 Boxwood Court, Mahwah NJ according to the disclosure on the Nadrowski mailer. That address matches a condo within a residential housing development. According to a web search, the condo is owned by Chris Joseph Direse. Whatever link there may be between Direse, the Nadrowski PAC and her campaign are not currently known.
