Drug Arrest and Car Theft in Bayonne

Bayonne Police have arrested one individual on narcotics charges, while they continue to investigate a car theft reported on Tuesday.

According to Capt. Eric Amato, 44-year old Marc A. Coco of Hobart Avenue in Bayonne, was taken into custody at 1:21 on Tuesday afternoon, charged with possessing narcotics.  Coco was arrested in the vicinity of 57th Street and Avenue C.

He was charged with two counts of possessing controlled dangerous substances; one for cocaine possession, the other for heroin possession.

He is currently being held in the Hudson County Jail.

Bayonne Police are also investigating the theft of a 2006 silver Mazda 5.  The vehicle was reported stolen at 9 am on Tuesday from West 32nd Street.

No further information on the car theft is available at the present time.
