El conductor de Edgewater arrestado por DWI y asalto automático después del accidente de Hoboken

30-year old, James Kittredge of Edgewater has been arrested following a motor vehicle crash at 12:13 a.m. on Sunday morning at 1500 Park Avenue in Hoboken.  According to Hoboken Detective / Lieutenant Danilo Cabrera, an off duty police officer spotted a two car, motor vehicle crash near 15th Street and Park Avenue.

One of the operators involved in the crash sustained minor injuries.  He told police the following: As he had the green light and was traveling northbound through the intersection, the other operator, identified as Kittredge, was traveling the wrong way on 15^th Street and crashed into his driver side.  Kittredge’s vehicle then ended up crashing into a street sign and a fence located on the northeast corner of the intersection.

Cabrera says, after conducting an on scene investigation, police found probable cause to place Kittredge under arrest for driving while intoxicated.  Kittredge was transported to police headquarters and provided breath samples.

Based on the damage, both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.  Kittredge was charged with assault by auto/DWI which was placed on a summons.  He received four motor vehicle summonses in all: Driving While Intoxicated, Reckless Driving, Wrong Way on a One Way, and Unregistered vehicle.  Kittredge was released to a responsible party.

He is considered innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.
