If you live in Jersey City near the Bergen Tunnels and hear police activity taking place over night on Sunday morning, there is no need to be alarmed. The New Jersey Transit Police Department’s Office of Emergency Management (OEM), together with federal, state, county, and local partners, will conduct a training exercise on Sunday, June 25th between 2 am and 5 am the Bergen Tunnels.
Due to the 2 a.m. start time, there will be no service changes required to accommodate the emergency response drill.
In addition to New Jersey Transit Police Department personnel, the following entities will also be participating in the exercise:
